Publication Ethics

SAYAM Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We strive to ensure the integrity, transparency, and credibility of our peer-reviewed journal in the field of Science. This page outlines the necessary information regarding publication ethics, including the roles and responsibilities of authors, editors, reviewers, and the journal itself.

Authors have certain duties and responsibilities when submitting their work to SAYAM. Firstly, they must ensure that their work is original and has not been previously published. Authors should appropriately acknowledge and cite the work and ideas of others, avoiding any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism. They are expected to include as authors only those individuals who have made significant contributions to the research and acknowledge the contributions of others who have participated in the study. Authors should present accurate and reliable data, avoiding falsification or manipulation, and provide all relevant information, methodologies, and details required for others to reproduce or verify the results. It is important for authors to avoid submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously and to inform the editor if the work has been previously published or is under consideration elsewhere. Authors should disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the research or its interpretation and acknowledge all sources of financial support for the study. In case of significant errors or inaccuracies discovered after publication, authors should promptly notify the journal editor and cooperate in issuing retractions, corrections, or clarifications, if necessary.

Editors play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of the publication process. They are responsible for fair and unbiased evaluation of submitted manuscripts, based on their academic merit, without any discrimination. Editors should maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and the information they contain, only disclosing the manuscript and its contents to those directly involved in the review process. They should avoid any conflicts of interest that may compromise the objectivity of the editorial decision-making process and recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have a personal or professional conflict of interest. Editors make decisions on the acceptance, rejection, or revision of manuscripts based on their academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope. Addressing allegations of plagiarism, unethical behavior, or research misconduct promptly and appropriately is also the responsibility of editors. They should cooperate with authors and institutions to investigate and resolve such concerns.

Reviewers are essential in ensuring the quality and validity of the articles published in SAYAM Journal. They are expected to provide objective and constructive assessments of the manuscripts assigned to them for review, evaluating the research methodology, originality, clarity, and significance of the study. Reviewers should complete the review process within the agreed-upon timeline and inform the editor if they cannot complete the review or require an extension. They must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and refrain from sharing or discussing the manuscript's contents with others without explicit permission from the editor. Reviewers should disclose any conflicts of interest that may arise from reviewing the manuscript and decline the review request if they have personal or professional relationships that may bias their assessment.

SAYAM Journal, as a responsible publisher, has its own set of responsibilities. We utilize a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality and validity of the published articles.
